Over about 2.3 miles, the trail gains roughly 1,575 feet with almost no descent, making it a sustained, extra‑difficult uphill grind. Expect steep sections, exposed stretches, and wide views over the city and Pacific coast as you climb. Best for experienced, fit hikers comfortable with continuous elevation gain.
