What to expect
Bury, England brings together riverbank paths, wooded cloughs, and open moorland above old mill towns. Walk out from Ramsbottom toward Holcombe and Pilgrim's Stone, follow the River Irwell near Greenmount and Burrs Country Park, or climb toward Harcles Hill and Bull Hill on the edge of the Rossendale Way. It is a compact corner of Greater Manchester with real changes in scenery underfoot.
