Loop
An easy loop from The Aperfield Inn, Sourh Street nr Biggin Hill. Park for free oppodite the Inn. This walk takes a 1 1/2 hours and gently explores the countryside on the edge of London’s Green Belt. With only about 61 m of ascent ( and 74 m of descent, the route is mostly comfortable for beginners and families. Expect open fields and scattered woodland (bluebells) before returning to your starting point. Going clockwise, brenches can be found after 0.75km in the Scouts Training Ground. At the southerly end of the walk are long distance views across the Darent Valley, a good place to stop to eat. Note there are barking digs at the very start /end but behind big fences and tall gates - more alarming than anything else. Nearest cafe is Costa in Biggin Hill (3/4km away). Nearby is the Westerham Heights garden center (no café )
