The trail begins in the Abinger Roughs Nature Reserve, a serene area known for its ancient woodlands and diverse wildlife. As you start your hike, you'll be greeted by a canopy of oak, beech, and chestnut trees. Keep an eye out for the variety of bird species that inhabit this area, including woodpeckers and nuthatches.
