An easy loop setting out from Grasmere, this 10.4 km walk gently explores the classic Lake District scenery around the village. With around 470 m of elevation gain and 510 m of descent, it offers steady climbs to Alcock Tarn, low fells and viewpoints over Grasmere and Rydal Water, followed by relaxed downhill sections. Suitable for most walkers with basic fitness, it fits comfortably into a half-day outing and returns you right back to the starting point in the village.
