What to expect
Wirral, England packs salt marsh, sandstone, and sea light into a compact corner between the Dee and the Mersey. Walk the Wirral Way from West Kirby toward Hooton, follow the wider Wirral Circular Trail for estuary views, or head from Arrowe Park to Parkgate where the marsh opens toward Wales. Around Thurstaston Hill and Red Rocks, the peninsula feels both open and deeply rooted in place.
