Initial Ascent and Thumsee

The hike begins with a gentle ascent along the Hoellenbachweg, a well-marked path that takes you through lush forests and alongside the serene Thumsee. The initial 2 km (1.2 miles) of the trail are relatively easy, with an elevation gain of about 100 meters (328 feet).

Hoellenbachweg to Kreutzerhof
