Killeedy Eco Park was created on the former site of an industrial facility and is now a 13-acre community green space with wetlands, reed beds and dedicated walking trails. Around the wider park are features including a bird watch hide, willow tunnels, an amphitheatre, raised beds and a lookout point, so even this short loop sits within a place designed for both wildlife and casual recreation.

Nature and setting

The park is managed as a wildlife-friendly space with woodland planting, wildflowers and waterbirds including ducks and swans. More than 7,000 native trees have been planted here, and the connected reed beds are part of the site's water-filtration system as well as an important part of its wetland character.
