If you’re looking for an easy walk in Glendalough that still delivers plenty of scenery, the Green Road Walk is hard to beat. This short loop around the Lower Lake combines peaceful woodland paths, a lovely boardwalk section over the wetlands, and the option to pass through the Monastic City along the way.
Unlike the more demanding hikes in Glendalough, this is a walk that suits almost everyone. There are no steep climbs, no exposed mountain sections, and no major navigation challenges. Instead, you get a gentle trail through oak woodland and lakeside scenery, with some of the best easy-access views in the valley. The National Park grades it as easy, with a distance of 3 km, a walking time of 50 minutes, and just 20 meters of climbing. Check Full Walk profile https://hikesneardublin.com/
