Point to Point
Uses the most off road parts of two different Ulster Way sections to cover the Glenshane pass, forest, Eagles Rock, Moydamlaght forest. Lunch spots / shop/ cafe / pub in Moneyneany, then good views walking over the sustained climb up Crockbrack to a good view point to reach the Glenelly valley and then on along the road to the end point at Goles forest carpark. TAKE CARE navigating between Glenshane and Moydamlaght Forest and stick with the route line shown if possible. If so inclined the Ponderosa at the top of the glenshane pass is a good spot for a beer and some food afterwards. Hiiker auto generated description: A gentle full‑day route starting from Dungiven, this easy hike covers about 15.7 miles with roughly 2,570 ft of ascent and 2,515 ft of descent. The trail gradually climbs into rolling hills with open views across the County Londonderry countryside, passing farmland and patches of woodland before descending toward quieter rural lanes near the finish. Suitable for fit beginners, with some sustained, but not steep, uphill sections.
