Best done counter clockwise so you can enjoy the fantastic views of Ben Avon, Cairn Toul and Ben Macdui on the walk down. The path is difficult to spot when leaving the road but is fairly obvious most of the way up. It's worth stopping by Queen Victoria's picnic lodge and the punchbowl before returning to the car park.
