Broad Cairn and Cairn Bannoch from Glen Doll

This is a long, high-level circuit in the eastern Cairngorms that links the broad summit dome of Broad Cairn with the slightly higher top of Cairn Bannoch before returning by the historic line of Jock’s Road. Expect around 23 km / 14.3 miles with roughly 900 m / 2,950 ft of ascent, which fits a solid medium day for experienced hillwalkers but can feel harder in poor weather because much of the route is exposed, remote, and high on open plateau terrain.
